His favorite expression is that "human knows no bounds". He believes it and of course he has proven it in his long distance racing career. At just 18 years old, Eliud won his first World Championship medal in the 5,000m. What followed was unrepeatable: 11 victories in official Marathon courses (8 in Marathon Majors) and of course the world record in 2018!
But his greatest success is that he became (and still is) the first runner to cover the distance of Marathon in less than 2 hours (1:59:40, Vienna, 2019).
